Recipe for Crab Cakes

This recipe for crab cakes is healthy, as it is not deep fried. This method lets you really taste the lump crab meat and enjoy the flavors without the taste of deep-fried food or oil. This makes an excellent appetizer for guests, or a simple dinner served with salad. Fresh and delicious.

 

Ingredients:

  • Panko or Bread Crumbs (handful): I used Ian's Gluten-Free Original Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbl Mayo
  • 2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Parsley chopped of flakes
  • 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 lb Lump Crab meat
  • Lemon 

Mix the ingredients together and gently blend in the crab meat. Heat your Titanium Frying Pan on Med-High.

Add the patties and apply the lid. Turn the heat to Medium. After a few minutes, pull the lid and flip the crab cakes. Re-apply the lid.

 

While the lid is Vapor Cooking your crab cakes, it is cooking the interior of them, which means the egg is getting firm and holding your cakes together. This is a gentle way to cook, without adding oil, but also without heating up the house using an oven.
