How to Grill Skirt Steak

September 16th, 2013 06:00:00 am

This is a quick and easy article to show you how to grill skirt steak, indoors using your Titanium Grill Pan. For this meal, I've done some yummy potatoes and beets to round out the plate with a protein, starch and vegetable.

For the Grilled Balsamic Skirt Steak you will need:

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar (I used coconut sugar instead)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 pound skirt steak, trimmed and cut into 4 pieces
  • Salt and Freshly ground pepper

Combine the first four ingredients and marinate the steak in them. Heat your Titanium Grill Pan over med high heat. Sprinkle the steak with Salt and Pepper. Now that the pan is hot, add the steaks and cook 3 minutes each side or until desired degree of doneness. If you like the center with no pink at all, add the lid to bring the internal temperature up. Otherwise, leave the pan open and get the meat nice and browned. Remove to a cutting board and let sit for 5 minutes. Cut diagonally across the grain into thin slices.

For the Yummy Potatoes as a side dish along side your skirt steak, gather the following:

  • Small red potatoes cut into small chunks. Purple fingerling potatoes are also delicious like this.
  • Chopped onion, peppers (any color), garlic
  • Salt and Freshly ground pepper, Rosemary (if you like it), Sage... any seasonings you enjoy will do. Bacon bits?!

Put all ingredients into a hot Titanium Frying Pan and brown. You do not need to use oil. If you want the health benefit of coconut oil, this is a good place to add it, but it is not required. It won't stick. It will brown without it.
