You can feel like you are indulging in a yummy childhood snack, whilst eliminating the carbs from the bread. This Grilled Cheese Using Cauliflower is the perfect solution and will be enjoyed by the entire family. By frying it in our titanium cookware you can get a lovely crispy crunch, followed by a creamy melted cheese finish that satisfies even the pickiest palate. I dusted this with fresh ground pepper and added a tomatoe slice. Assemble your ingredients as follows and let's get cooking!
Cut the cauliflower into florets. Process cauliflower in a food processor until the texture resembles rice. Alternatively, you can grate the cauliflower. Squeeze it out to remove excess liquid if it seems wet. In a medium bowl, combine the processed cauliflower, beaten eggs, parmesan and oregano. Mix it until it is evenly combined, then season with salt and pepper.
Pre-heat your titanium Frying Pan, or titanium Baking Sheet to medium to medium high. The link to the Frying Pan is here. The link to the Titanium Baking Sheet is here. With the baking sheet, heat it across two burners. It's okay if one burner is small, the other large, it will still heat evenly. This pan will allow you to fry a lot of them at once. The Frying pan is good if you have 2 or 3 people.
Form patties with the mixture and fry much like a burger patty. Press down on them with the spatula to compact. Cook until golden, about 5 minutes.
Flip and cook until the second side is golden as well. Top one Grilled patty with cheese and then add another patty on top of it, making a sandwich! Let the cheese melt a bit, then remove from the pan to the plate and devour! As I'm writing this out so that you too can enjoy it, I'm dying to go make another batch of this Grilled Cheese Using Cauliflower. This makes a fun appetizer too, if you do small bite-size sammies. They also hold together much better in the smaller size...
