Our easy Korean Beef Bowl is probably not at all "traditional" Korean, mostly because I've used a lot of substitutions to make it a healthier meal. Even so, we think the flavor is outstanding and it really quenches that desire for a filling "bowl" style dinner.
Whisk the sweetner, soy or aminos, sesame oil, pepper flakes and ginger in a bowl and set aside.
Next I boiled some water in my Titanium Pot-BUY HERE. You will need this if you are doing either the rice or the shirataki. If using the shirataki, rinse it thoroughly, then boil it for 2 minutes. Strain it and then put it into your nonstick Titanium Frying Pan-BUY HERE to dry it on low to medium heat. Keep moving it around in the pan to dry it... It will not stick.
Next saute your onions and garlic in your Titanium Sauce Pan-BUY HERE. Again, you do not need to use any oil to saute them until tender. Once they are tender, add the ground beef and simmer to cook through. Chop your scallions.
Now just pour your delicious sauce into the meat, onion, garlic mixture and mix it well. Let it simmer on low heat. Prepare you bowls by adding the Shirataki or the Rice into the bottom of the bowl. Top it off with a healthy scoop of the prepared beef. Notice how it did not stick to the surface of the pan. Serve and garnish with the scallions and enjoy!
For a little something special for desert, section a blood orange and drizzle with Cointreau. This was the perfect palate cleanse after the Easy Korean Beef Bowl.
