Broiled Asparagus

Here is a quick and easy way to prepare your Broiled Asparagus... which is the perfect side dish for really any entree from fish to pasta. Use your Titanium Grill pan because it can go safely under the broiler. The pieces that have handles are oven-safe up to 550 degrees, but a broiler is much hotter than that, so the grill pan is the perfect solution. 

Broiled Asparagus

Rinse your asparagus and "bend" it gently. Where it breaks or snaps is the part to remove. Line the aparagus along the tray/pan. Drizzle with coconut or palm oil. These are oils you can safely heat to high temperatures without transforming them into trans fats. Next, sprinkle your favorite herbs and seasoning on top such as sea salt, pepper and thyme. 

 

Pop this under the broiler... after approximately 4 minutes, pull it out and turn them loosely. Cook until tender and slightly charred, approximately 6-9 minutes in total depending on the size and thickness of your stalks.
