Baked Potatoes

Have you decided not to enjoy delicious baked potatoes because you try not to use your oven during the hot summers? Not a problem when using Titanium Cookware Collection's premium line of cookware. You can vapor-cook your potatoes, stovetop. The result is a moist, steamy, delcious potatoe cooked without water, and without the oven. 

Baked Potatoe SideVapor cooking works beautifully with Titanium Cookware Collections's pots and pans. Just apply the specially made lid and you have a vapor oven on your stovetop. This allows you to bake and steam without water. To begin preparing your baked potatoes, simply scrub them clean and place them into your pan. In this demonstration I am using the wonderful Specialty Pan which has quickly become a favorite for me. Click here to see it. Baked Potatoes


So now that your spuds are clean and in your cookware, put your burner on very low heat. On my cooktop, that is about a 2 or 3. Apply the lid. Whatever moisture is clinging to the potatoes from their bath, is enough water. You will see some steam begin to form on the interior of the lid. Once you see this steam, set your timer for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, check them by poking with a knife. If it does not give immediately, set out for another 20 or 30 minutes. If you heat is very low as it should be for this, you will not have to worry about the bottoms burning. It is just vapor steaming and you can walk away from it and prepare something else.


I cooked up a fair amount of them, so that I could have quick breakfast potatoes. I am going to slice them and freeze them. When making a big breaktast, put them into the pan frozen, add onions and seasonings and peppers... apply the lid. This will thaw the potatoes in a minute. Remove the lid and brown in coconut oil until crispy or just cooked as you like them.

And of course... enjoy them with butter, salt and pepper for a wonderful side to a steak.
